You control a character in a side-scrolling world. Each level is patrolled by monsters. You move left and right, jump over obstacles, and fire at enemies. Scattered across the stage are crates; you must collect every one to complete the level. The challenge lies in navigating the platforms, dealing with foes, and rounding up all the crates without dying.
